William M. Wilkolaski, 83, of South Hudson Street, Hemstreet Park passed away suddenly Friday evening (Jul. 9, 2010) at St. Marys Hospital after being stricken at his residence.
Born in Bought Corners (Cohoes) on November 3, 1926, a son of Walter & Mary Farron Wilkolaski. He is the beloved husband of Phyllis Lewis Wilkolaski whom he married on August 11, 1951.
He retired from the custodial department of the Shenendehowa Central School. A life member of the Hemstreet Park fire Department which he joined in 1955, rarely ever missing a meeting and a member of the American Legion Post 490 of Stillwater, and the Valley Falls V.F.W. He loved attending any function which included breakfast!
Survivors in addition to his wife include his two daughters; Marilyn A. Crowther and
Susan (Cy) Frydel III both of Mechanicville, one brother; Matthew Wilkolaski of Cohoes, four grandchildren; Jammie (Joe) Fisher, Scott (Kim) Frydel, Christopher Crowther, Tracy Crowther, five beloved great grandchildren; Hailie Fisher, Saige Fisher, Kayleigh Brodie, Alexandria Frydel, Seth Frydel.
He is predecased by his siblings; Frank Wilkolaski U.S. Army, Killed in action WWII, Agnes Walsh, Stacia St. Gelais, Helen Lockwood, Julia Cunningham and Marilyn Wilkolaski.
Relatives and Friends may call from 4-8:00pm on Tuesday (Jul. 13, 2010) at the Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc. 729 North Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Woodman, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Stillwater Union Cemetery, Hudson Ave.
