Schaghticoke, Rensselaer Co William "Bill" D. Ralston William David Ralston of Pleasant Avenue passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy with his loving family at his side. He was 72. Born in Troy on May 26, 1942, son of the late William and Edna (Bates) Ralston. He was veteran of the US Army (1963-1966), Bill worked as a health inspector for OSHA and was a life member of the Stillwater Gun and Rod Club where he shared many happy moments with his beloved dogs (Shep, RJ and Elliot). Survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Felter) Ralston of Schaghticoke, his daughter Keely Ralston (Lynne Jaquay) of Clifton Park, his son Evan W. Ralston of Austin, TX, his grandchildren PFC Phillip Palmieri of Germany, PFC Nicholas Palmieri of HI, Rachel Palmieri of Clifton Park, and his beloved friends Do Ngoc of Vietnam, Virginia "Ginny" L. Barker and her son Forrest "Bucky" Barker of NC and his family. Relatives and friends may call from 3-5pm on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 11 am from the United Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Schaghticoke. Burial will follow in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
