Valley Falls, Rensselaer County William P. Langenbach, Jr. of Kardas Road passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. He was 93. Born on July 19, 1922 in Bethlehem, son of the late William P. and Jessie E. (Hogle) Langenbach. He is the husband of the late Dorothy (Jackson) Langenbach whom passed away in 2002. William served in the Coast Guard from 1942-1945. After his honorable discharge, he worked for various area electrical contractors. He enjoyed camping and hunting and was also an avid gardener. Survivors include his children, Irene Loretta Langenbach of Valley Falls, Dorothy Ann Campbell of FL, Elizabeth Wetsel of Valley Falls, Linda (Gary) Rose of FL, Karen (Donn) Rifenburg of Long Lake and David W. Langenbach of Valley Falls and his siblings Wilomena Gore of CT, Emily Marsh and Elizabeth Frost both of Westport, Earl Langenbach of East Greenbush and Jessie Duncan of Castleton. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his children William Arthur Langenbach and Nancy Lee Langenbach, and brothers Harold Langenbach and John Langenbach. Relatives and friends may call from 10-12noon on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke.
