Obituary for William T. Clifton, Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William T. Clifton, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather and cherished friend, who left us on September 27, 2024 at the age of 82. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on September 20, 1942 to William T. Clifton, Sr. and Mary Clifton. Bill was known for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and a deep sense of integrity. He met the love of his life, Constance (Brooks) Clifton, over sixty years ago, and together they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and enduring love. Their partnership was a testament to the power of commitment and mutual respect.

Lovingly know as Hun, Dad, Grandpa, and Pa, Bill was a source of guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support. His children William T. Clifton, III and Christine (Clifton) D'Amato, will always remember him for his wisdom, strength, and unconditional love. He was always his children's biggest fan and was present through every milestone, offering advice, and instilling values that will remain with them forever.

He is survived by his devoted wife Constance (Brooks) Clifton; his loving children William T. Clifton, III (Kimberly Nesbitt) and Christine (Clifton) D'Amato; his beloved grandchildren Brandon Clifton (Suzanne Foote), Benjamin Clifton, (Erica Dupuis), Brady Clifton, Marc D'Amato, and Grace D'Amato; his caring sister-in-law Susan (Brooks) Romanoski as well as many dear friends, all of whom will carry his memory with them.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the countless beautiful memories we shared with Bill. His laughter, compassion, and love will remain with us always.

The celebration of life for William T. Clifton, Jr. will be held at Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Ave., Mechanicville, NY 12118 on Wednesday October 2, 2024 with visiting hours from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. where family and friends are invited to share stories, offer support, and honor the life of a truly remarkable man. Rest in peace, William T. Clifton, Jr.
