Troy- Rensselaer County Thomas Edward McCleave, Jr. of Howard Street, passed away on April 3, 2013. He was 55. Born on June 16, 1957 in Niskayuna, to Thomas E. and Nancy (Saddlemyer) McCleave, Sr. Thomas was employed as a carpenter for Kyer Construction in Schaghticoke. He was a member of the Schaghticoke American Legion Post No. 731 and the Schaghticoke Fire Department. Survivors include his sister, Lynn McCleave of Stillwater and his two brothers, Clark McCleave of AZ and Ken (Mary) McCleave of Stillwater. Relatives and friends may call from 5-7pm on Sunday, April 7 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
