Stillwater, Saratoga County Thomas ("Tom") A. Gorsky, Jr. of Putnam Road passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, July 8, 2022. He was 70. Tom was an adored father and beloved brother, uncle and grandfather with a kind heart. Tom was born in Troy on July 1, 1952; the son of Thomas A. and Stacia A. (Boradgiak) Gorsky, Sr. He was a Stillwater Central School graduate and earned his degree at SUNY Cobleskill. A lifelong farmer, Tom took great pride in working his family farm and was passionate about all aspects of farming. He loved farm equipment; he was a skilled operator, competent mechanic and an avid welder. His sense of humor was second to none. Above all, he loved his family and making his grandchildren laugh. He served as a former board member on the Town of Stillwater Planning Commission and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Survivors include his children, Wayne T. (Kathleen) Gorsky of Stillwater, Sara L. Lokossou of Capitol Heights, MD, and Laura E. (John Rogers) Gorsky of Fletcher, VT; his grandchildren, Joseph "Joey" Gorsky, George Gorsky, both of Stillwater, and Yohann Lokossou of Capitol Heights, MD; his siblings, Kathy (Austin) Benson of Chesapeake, VA, Mary Benson of Stillwater, and Janet Gorsky of Troy. He was also survived by his beloved nieces, Tara, Jenny, Jamie, and Karen, and his girlfriend, Dolores Proper of Pownal, VT, as well as several cousins, great nieces and nephews, close friends, neighbors, and the greater farm community. He is predeceased by the mother of his children and former spouse, Sally Gorsky Larkin, his brother-in-law, Bill, and his nephew, Thomas. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00am at All Saints on the Hudson, North Church, Stillwater. Burial will follow at the family plot in St. Peters Cemetery.
