Scotia, Schenectady County Theresa M. Oest passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Baptist Heath Care Center. She was 90. Born in Malone on November 12, 1930, daughter of Frank and Bertha Rozon. She lived most of her life in Mechanicville and Stillwater. Theresa worked as a maid in various hotels, most recently the Sheridan in Albany. She worked hard and was devoted to the care of her family. She loved bingo with her daughter and partner in crime, Patti, playing cards and mostly being with her family. Survivors include her sister, Franny Patenaude of Malone, her children Evelyn Agnew, Terry Carter, Larry Oest, Anne Marie Farnan, Patricia Oest and Derek Oest. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Frank Oest and five of her siblings. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 11-12:00 noon at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, STILLWATER. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:00 noon with burial to follow in St. Peters Cemetery, Stillwater.
