Theresa B. Burdick Mechanicville, Saratoga County Theresa B. Burdick of Eighth Avenue passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy. She was 79. Born in Port-Au-Port, Newfoundland on January 10, 1937, daughter of the late Angus and Clementine (Young) Marche. She is the widow of Walter Jay Burdick, Jr. A devoted and loving wife, mother and homemaker, Theresa was a kind and generous person. Her family will remember her as the world's greatest mother. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband Walter and loved bingo at the Mechanicville Senior Center, bowling, crossword puzzles and was a wonderful dancer. Survivors include her adoring children, Walter (Bonnie) Burdick III of Utica, Sherry McBride (Maynard Ford) of Melrose and Cathy (Joe) Crispo of Latham, her cherished grandchildren, Andy, Alicia (Jeremy), Alina, Sharyl and Gina as well as her two precious great grandchildren Ayla and Jayce. Also survived by her siblings, Mary, Cathy, Gerard (Ann), Duncan (Irene), Liz (Gerald), Jackie, Brian (Sue) and Shirley (Aubrey). In addition to her beloved husband Walt, she is predeceased by her siblings, James, Michael, Vera, Rita, Bernadette, Fintan and Melanie. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday at All Saints on the Hudson, South Church, 121 North Main Street, Mechanicville. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery at 1:30pm following Mass.
