Johnsonville, Rensselaer County Susan Hook of Clum Road passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at home peacefully. She was 71. Born on June 29, 1950, daughter of Edward and Doris (Zindle) DeWitt. She is the wife of Wayne E. Hook Susan worked as a payroll specialist for Caldwell Banker of Troy, NY. Susan enjoyed her 30-year career in the payroll industry. She was extremely meticulous and was highly respected for her experience. She loved bowling, baking and crafting. But her love and her passion were taking care of her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed family vacations on the Jersey Shore. She loved the beach, the boardwalk and spending time together in her favorite town. Sue was known to most of her friends for her selflessness, her sincerity, and her kindness. She was loved by her friends and family and will be greatly missed. Survivors in addition to her husband, Wayne include her daughter, Theresa (Kurt) Reiser, granddaughters Jeneca and Reilly Reiser, a son, Wayne (Maria Schmitz) Hook and grandsons Mitchum, Nathaniel and Drew Hook, her brother, Jack (Patricia) DeWitt and sisters Sheryl Palmer and Joanne (Fred) Greehan. She is predeceased by her father, Edward DeWitt, her mother, Doris DeWitt and her grandmother Ann Zindle. Services will be private and at the convenience of her family.
