Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County Stephen O. Uscky, Sr., age 80, of Windermere Road passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Born in Watervliet on April 29, 1942 to the late Orest and Anna (Woitowich) Uscky. Husband of the late Mary Kay Uscky to whom he was married for 39 years before her passing. He was a resident of Saratoga Lake for over 50 years where he often swam in the lake with his kids and grandkids, played cards with his wife, and tended his garden. Stephen took pride in his work as a Union Mason for 15 years, and later worked as a dispatcher for the K&C Refrigeration Company of Troy. He tended bar annually as a member of the Ukranian Club in Watervliet. He enjoyed picnics at Lake George and Saratoga State Park with his life long high school friends and their families. His pastimes included coaching his daughters' softball teams alongside his wife and son, playing golf, attending Travers Day at the track, and going to bingo with his sisters. The New York Giants frustrated him regularly on Sundays. Niagara Falls was a favorite destination for family trips and Stephen loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach and Hawaii with his wife. Survivors include his children, Steve Uscky, Jr. of Saratoga Springs, Kim Carlson of Saratoga Springs and Carol Ann (Eric) Zimmerman of Germany, his grandchildren Colette, Katie and Jackson, his siblings Kay Rymanowski of Berne and Helen Kawolchyk of Watervliet, numerous nieces, nephews, in- laws and outlaws. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Emma Faith Zimmerman, and brothers in law John Rymanowski and Joseph Kawolchyk. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 5-7:00pm at Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral mass will be on Thursday at 11:00am at All Saints on the Hudson Church (St. Peters), 895 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery.
