Troy, NY/Bennington, VT Stephanie M. (Hoag-Maloney) Chapko passed away, peacefully in her sleep, on May 18, 2022, at Troy Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was 75 years old. Born in Bennington, Vermont on December 4, 1946, to the late George and Barbara (Youngangel) Hoag. Stephanie now goes to join the love of her life, the late Rainy Chapko. Stephanie retired from Union Carbide/Eveready Battery in Bennington, Vermont after 30 years of exemplary service. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, music, doing crossword puzzles, spending time with family and loved to make memories while traveling. Survivors include Stephanies children, J.D (Carolyn) Maloney of Phoenixville PA, Christopher Maloney of Hoosick Falls, Diona Chapko of Valley Falls, Brenda (George) Chapko of Valley Falls, and Dennis Chapko of Amsterdam. She is also survived by her grandchildren Maple Maloney, Dallas Maloney, Kaine Maloney, Taylor Maloney, Cassondra Chapko, and Camille Coyne. Along with her siblings Fay Ann McKenna of NYC, Linda Garston of Tampa FL, Nadine (Tony) Guetti of Zephyrhills FL, her sister/brother-in-laws, Tian (Bob) Chorwat, Larny (Lori) Chapko, Darl Chapko, and Alton (Tracie) Chapko, as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street Schaghticoke, NY 12154 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A funeral service will take place the following day, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the funeral home at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
