Wheeler Albany County Sidney J. Wheeler of Albany passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2012. He was 68. Born on December 24, 1943 in Bells Falls, Vermont, he was the son of Cecil E. and Edythe (Griggs) Wheeler. Sidney was a clerical worker for New York State for over 35 years. Survivors include his brother, Charles M. Wheeler; a brother in law, Richard Lamb; his niece Rachel Lamb and his nephew Darrell Lamb. Sidney is also survived by several cousins. Sidney is predeceased by his sister, Sarah Lamb. Relatives and friends may call from 11am to 12pm on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Chase- Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. A funeral service will be held at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Clyde McCaskill, officiating. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany. Memorials may be made is his honor to the charity of ones choice.
