Melrose, Rensselaer County Sid Foley of Weatherwax Lane, Melrose, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. He was 51. Born in Alexandria, VA on July 14, 1961 to the late Elbert G. and Winnifred (Harris) Foley. Sid is the husband of Frances V.(Sander) Foley whom he married on July 3, 1988. Sid worked for US Airways, and recently was a ramp service supervisor at Southwest Airlines. Survivors in addition to his wife are his 4 children, Georgeanna E., Jacob S., Meaghan F. and Thomas G., all of Melrose, a nephew, Benjamin Foley of Crimora, VA and 3 cousins, Elloise Moore of Mint Springs, VA, Kay Harlow and Jennifer Foley-Zambrottas, both of Fort Defiance, VA. Also a host of fantastic extended family and friends. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. A funeral service will be held at 7pm in the funeral home. Services at Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church in Ft. Defiance will be announced. Burial will be in the family plot in Augusta Stone Cemetery in Ft. Defiance, VA at a later date.
