Sarah Jean Sally Ulan Schaghticoke, New York Sarah Sally Ulan (84) passed away after a long illness on March 5, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital. Sarah was born in Troy on July 13, 1933 to George W. Smith and Sylvia Pangburn Smith. Sarah was predeceased by her husband John J. Ulan in 1980. She is survived by three daughters, Victoria Bailey Bush, Debby Vandenburgh, and Sarah Ulan Plummer; one son, James Wolfe; six grandchildren, Michael Jennings, Donald Jennings, Jeremy Jennings, Eric Jennings, Christina Serson and Samantha Bailey; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Sarah resided at her home on Stillwater Bridge Road for 55 years, where she enjoyed a long and happy life until her recent hospitalization and passing. Sarah enjoyed crafts, making bead necklaces for everyone she knew, crocheting and cross-stich. We would like to thank the caring professionals at Hospice for their endless support and guidance, as well as the professionals at the Eddy DayBreak facility in Cohoes. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
