Sarah "Sally" Mehan King passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was 73.

Born in Troy on January 15, 1950, daughter of the late Thomas A. and Virginia (Joyce) Mehan.

Sally was a graduate of Stillwater Ventral School, class of 1968 and worked for the New York State Civil Service in Albany as a clerk.

She is survived by her children, George Simmons of Stillwater and Brant Simmons of Mechanicville, her siblings, Phrasia Mehan (John Catalfamo) of Stillwater, Doddie (Larry) Marten of Sacandaga and Helen (Tom) Caivana of Stillwater. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother Thomas Mehan.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00 noon at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. A prayer service will be held at noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery, Stillwater.
