Mitchell Rose Marie Troy, NY Rensselaer Co. Rose Marie Mitchell passed away on Wednesday, January 18 at St. Peters Hospital, Albany. She was 75. Born on September 22, 1936 in Troy, she was a daughter of Agnes (Wilcox) Burdick of the late Walter Burdick. She is the widow of the late Joseph Mitchell. Marie as she was known was employed at American Linen in Stillwater for many years. She was a member of the Schaghticoke American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and attended the Schaghticoke Presbyterian Church. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading and camping, especially sitting by a camp fire. She always looked forward to her Friday coffee get togethers. Survivors in addition to her mother, include her children, Jacqueline (Paul) Charbonneau of Fort Ann, Terry (Dennis) Foster of Saratoga Springs and Debra (Ben) Russell of Middle Grove, her 7 grandkids and 22 great grandkids. Also survived by her siblings; Walter Burdick, Rob Burdick, Richard Burdick, Carol Miller, Cora Chaput, Dorothy Pence, Frank Burdick, Kim Evans, Aggie Barmash and Janet Bilik. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and father, Marie is predeceased by her siblings Billy Burdick and Elmer Burdick. Relatives and friends may call from 2-5pm on Sunday, January 22 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be conducted at 5pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
