Mechanicville, Saratoga County Roger G. Bouchard Roger G. Bouchard passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his residence on North Main Street surrounded by his family. He was 78 years old. Born in Cohoes, NY on June 9, 1938 to the late George and Ida (Charbonneau) Bouchard. Husband of the late Gayle (Wagner) Bouchard. Roger served in the Army and worked as carpenter for the Michaels Group in Malta. He was an avid Giants and Yankees Fan, a bowler in a league in Cohoes and enjoyed playing Bingo at the Mechanicville Senior Center. Survivors include his two daughters, Dawn Gerik of Mechanicville and Tina (Gary) Davenport of Clifton Park . Roger's companion Mary Torres of Mechanicville, two siblings, Gail (Carmen) Oliviere of Waterford and Dennis (Monica) Bouchard of Waterford, grandchildren, Alex (Rachel) Gerik, Bethany Davenport, Matthew Davenport, Emily Gerik and Joshua (Erin) Davenport as well as four great grandchildren A celebration of Roger's life will be held at 7 PM, on Tuesday evening, August 16, at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
