Robert M. Marty Dunn, of Route 9 passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 13, 2017 with his loving family by his side, he was 76 years old. Born on February 16, 1941 in Troy, son of the late Irving and Margarite (Kelly) Dunn. He is the husband of Sarah Susie (Camerota) Dunn with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage. They were married on August 21, 1965. A Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1960 1964 retaining the rank of Sargent. He was rewarded the Good Conduct Medal, Expert (Carbine) and the Sharpshooter (Rifle) awards. He worked for Royal R. Dyer Construction in Mechanicville as a foreman and heavy equipment operator for many years. After retiring in 2008 he enjoyed wintering in Stuart, Florida. He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan. Survivors in addition to his wife Susie Dunn include his two sisters, Anne (Vernon) Perkins of Mechanicville and Rosemary Garland of Mechanicville. Sister-In-Laws, Joan (Tony) Polaro of Green Island and Dorine Dyer of Mechanicville. Also survived by two godsons Michael Perkins and Scott Polaro and several special nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces as well as his loyal and faithful canine companion, Molly who Marty enjoyed sitting in the back yard with. Marty was predeceased in addition to his parents by his three brothers, John, Thomas and Jimmy Dunn and his beloved canine companion Oreo. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
