Cohoes, Albany County Robert Dennis Warren, 62, of Cohoes passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 28, 2015. Bob was the beloved son of Wilma (Smith) Warren and the late Robert Downing Warren of Johnsonville. He was a graduate of Hoosic Valley Central School and Hudson Valley Community College. Bob worked for the New York State Education Department for more than 30 years, most recently as an Information Technology Specialist. Bob was skilled at mechanical repair, home repair and computer technology, and was quick to lend a hand to family and friends. He had an inquisitive mind and enjoyed investigating family genealogy, including trekking through local cemeteries. In recent years, he enjoyed traveling to China. Bob was an avid New York Yankees fan. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Donna Warren of Troy and Diane Warren of Westborough, MA and his companion of 28 years, Sharon. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 2-5pm on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30am on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot in Millertown Cemetery, Johnsonville.
