Mechanicville, Saratoga County Robert Bob Jerald Coons, Jr. of Mechanicville passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 51. Born in Troy on November 5, 1963, son of the late Robert J. and Rita (Osborn) Coons, Sr. He is the husband of Calista R. Bombard whom he married on December 7, 1985. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, sports enthusiast, and devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees. He also loved classic cars. Survivors in addition to his wife Calista R. Coons of Mechanicville include their children, Nicole M. Coons of Mechanicville, Erica L. Coons of Garfield, NJ and Robert J. Coons, III of Mechanicville, his siblings, Debra (Richard) Tremblay of Clifton Park, Nancy (David) Valcik of Rexford, Scott (Julie) Coons of Clifton Park, his stepmother Joan Coons of Albany, stepsister Beth (Arthur)DeGraw of Gansevoort, stepbrothers Ronald (Lilibeth) Burke of New City, Michael (Sheryl) Burke of Simpsonville, SC, Edward (Carol) Burke of Rexford, his mother in law Sally A. Martineau of Clifton Park, brother in laws Ronald (Laurie) Bombard of Troy and Gregory Bombard (Christina Pack) of Waterford as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his step brother Robert Burke, father in law Ronald Bombard, Sr., brother in law Michael Bombard and stepfather in law Raymond Martineau. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, 7 North Main Street, Mechanicville. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00am on Wednesday at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hudson View Cemetery.
