Robert C. Burton, 82, of Parkwood Drive and long time Stillwater resident, died on Friday, September 24th at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy following a lengthy illness. Born in Mechanicville on August 5, 1928 Son of George W. & Sarah Fletcher Burton. Widow of Victoria A. Guilianelli Burton who died in 1987. A graduate of Mechanicville High School, Bob was a civil engineer for B.A.S.F. in the power generation plant in Rensselaer. A veteran of the US Army He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Stillwater. Survivors include his daughter Dawn Valerie Burton of Clifton Park, 1 Son Gary W. Burton of Wilton, NY, 1 Aunt Ruth Baker of Mechanicville, NY Predeceased by his loving wife Victoria, and a son Robert W. Burton, Jr. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 28th at 9:00 AM from St. Peter's Church, Hudson Avenue Stillwater with Rev. David Mickiewicz, officiating.
