Richard M. Sherman of Waller Road in Wilton passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was 86.
Born on October 7, 1931, in Ballston Spa, son of the late Clifford and Peggy (Carson) Sherman.
Husband to Beverly (Fisk) Sherman with whom he would have celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary on September 11th, the day after his passing.
A Veteran of the US Army serving from 1952-1954 where he was awarded several Medals and Bronze Service Stars.
Richard worked for General Electric in Waterford in the mailroom as a driver for his entire career. He loved to socialize, some of his hobbies include fishing, hunting and landscaping. His lawn was his pride and he enjoyed puttering in the yard. Above all he was a devoted family man who always put his childrens education first.
Survivors in addition to his devoted wife Beverly include their children, David (Elizabeth) Sherman of Clifton Park, Tammy (Paul) Zullo of Albany and Terry (James) Northrup of Latham, 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to his predeceased parents, Richard is joining his loving Grandson Tanner Zullo in Heaven and it would be important to Richard to kindly consider donations to the Bernard and Millie Duker Childrens Hospital at Albany Med, 41 New Scotland Blvd, MC-119, Albany, NY 12208 in honor of Tanner and other children fighting Leukemia and other pediatric illnesses.
