Albany, Albany County Richard D. Davis of Guilderland NY, passed away on April 1, 2022 at Albany Medical Center. He was 72. Born on March 28, 1950, in Schenectady NY, son of William Donald and the late Virginia (Wilhelm) Davis. Richard worked as a Sales Associate for Mohawk Valley Trains in Schenectady. He was a long-time member of the Hudson Berkshire Division of the National Model Railroad Association, The Flying Deuces model RC plane club, and was a lifelong member of the Schenectady Model Railroad Club. Much of Richards time was spent building and detailing his Santa Fe model trains and building his model layout, which depicts the famous Cajon Pass in California. He enjoyed watching MSNBC, going railfanning, watching videos of trains, feeding and watching backyard birds, and cuddling his beloved cat, Shayla. Richard was blessed with many devoted friends that shared his passions. Survivors, along with his father, include his siblings Susan Davis of Bushnell FL, Gary Davis of Murphy NC, Allan Davis of Frederick MD, and Nancy Davis of Guilderland NY, as well as his nieces and nephews Deanna, Laura, Lily, Lea, Renee, Andrew, Max, and Sam, his great niece Hayley, and great nephews Dylan and Oliver.
