Ballston Spa, Saratoga County Richard Brown, Sr., formerly of Lake Street, Stillwater passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Maplewood Manor. He was 87. Born in Stillwater on September 27, 1925 to the late Peter and Pearl (Becker) Brown. He is the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Post) Brown and father of the late Daniel Brown and the late Jeff Brown. He is also predeceased by his brother the late Robert Brown. Mr. Brown served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as a machinist from G. E. Silicone Products in Waterford, New York and was a member of the American Legion Post #91 in Mechanicville. Survivors are his sons, Richard (Dorothy) Brown, Jr., James (Debbie) Brown, Dennis Brown, his daughters, Linda Demarco of Schaghticoke, Beverly (Mark) Dahlin of Gansevoort and Melissa (Ted Petrucci) Carknard of Canajoharie. Also survived by his sisters, Betty Hanehan and Constance Mellon both of Stillwater and 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
