Richard W. Bedford, Sr. of Chestnut Lane passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was 77.

Born on July 15, 1946 in Staten Island, son of the late Alfred H. and Anna Mae (Robinson) Bedford, Sr. He is the husband of Alma M. (LaVoie) Bedford.

Richard was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 1969 and also served in the NYS National Guard for 13 years. He worked for the Albany VA Hospital and was a heavy mobile equipment repairman and worked in generator maintenance.

Survivors in addition to his wife Alma include his children, David, Leola (Charlie) and Zachary (Joanna), his brother Al (late Dottie) and his sister Denise (Rusty), eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sister Diana.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00am at the Sulivan Jones VFW Post 7466 in Poestenkill.
