Regina A. Speanburg of Sitterly Road passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany surrounded by her loving daughters. She was 96.

Born in Johnsonville on June 7, 1929, daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Pemrick) Bruns. She is the widow of the late Earl L. Speanburg who passed away in 2018.

Regina worked most recently in the kitchen at Hoosic Valley Central School. She was a very active parishioner of the former St. Monica's Church where she was book keeper and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed the card parties and making quilts for the annual church bizarre raffle. In earlier years she loved camping trips, vacationing in Maine, visiting Amish Country, bus trips and shopping. She loved spending time with her family and was the adoring Nana to her granddaughter, Alexis. Her kind, welcoming and calming nature will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughters Donna Speanburg and Cynthia A. (Edward) Kyea, her granddaughter, Alexis Kyea (Aden Kownack), her sister Theresa (late Gilbert) Pratt as well several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she will be reunited with her siblings Edna Hunt, Florence Russell, Gertrude Hunt, Leo Bruns and Frederick Bruns, Jr. and her beloved dog Torch.

Calling hours will be from 12 noon – 2:00pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 2:00pm with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery.
