Obituary

Raymond H. Quackenbush of Park Place in Mechanicville died on Monday, August 25, 2014 at his residence. He was 70 years old. Born on November 21, 1943 in Troy, son of the late Raymond F. and Cletus (LaPointe) Quackenbush. Raymond retired from the New York State Department of corrections after 29 years of service. He was the first Chief of Police for Stillwater, a parishioner of All Saints on the Hudson North, past President of the Stillwater School Board, life member of the Arvin Hart Fire Company as well as past President of the New York State Snowmobiling Association. Survivors include his children: Raymond (Erin) Quackenbush of Stillwater, Debbie (Ralph Hotaling) Quackenbush of Medusa and Jeff (Christina) Quackenbush of Valley Falls. Siblings, G. Edward (Marion) Quackenbush and Judith (Floyd) Russell both of Stillwater. Grandchildren, Shane Quackenbush, Kurt Quackenbush and Jordan Collette. Life Companion Maureen DePaul of Halfmoon and her children, Lynne (Andrew) Hale, Vincent (Nicole) DePaul both of Clifton Park and her three Grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, August 27, from 4 to 8 pm at All Saints on the Hudson, North Church, 881 North Hudson Avenue in Stillwater. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, August 28 at the Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Mechanicville.
