Raymond Gadoua of Kellogg Road passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 96.
Born in Cohoes on December 18, 1924, son of Henry and Rhea (Dufresne) Gadoua. He is the husband of the late Ellen C. (Sanders) Gadoua who passed away in 1998.
Ray served in the US Marine Corp during WWII and was honorably discharged on January 3, 1946 at the rank of PFC. He worked as a pulp operator for Tagson Papers, Mechanicville. He was a member of Arvin Hart Fire Company and Stillwater Fire Department and was a member of the American Legion Post 490.
He is survived by his daughters, Raylene (Mike) Hammond and Darlene McDowell, his son James Gadoua, his grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Hipwell, Andrew (Ashlee) McDowell, Jackie-Lee McDowell, Madison McDowell, James Gadoua Jr., three great grandsons, Cooper Hipwell, Lincoln and Liam McDowell as well as his long time companion, Denise Crossett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at Stillwater Union Cemetery with military honors in the spring of 2021.
