Rutland County West Haven, Vermont Ralph E Walker of Best Road passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Stillwater. He was 91. Born in West Haven, VT on January 27, 1924, son of the late Brock and Hazel (Tryon) Walker. Mr. Walker worked on his family farm in West Haven all his life. Survivors include his niece, Betty H. Rood of Stillwater, great nieces and nephews Jeanne Rood (Wayne) Steele of Malta, Debra Rood (Jim) Brown of Mechanicville, Janice (Brian Buhl )Rood of Stillwater, Alaine Rood Wood of Mechanicville and Walter Butchy Rood, Jr., of Stillwater and four generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Cyrus John Walker and his sister Grace Etta Greene, great nieces Sharon Baker and Lauren (Rood) Alderman. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4:00pm on Sunday, March 29 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral service will follow at 4:00pm at the funeral home.
