Paul C. Werschler of Troy Schenectady Road in Latham, passed away peacefully on February 1,2022 after a long battle with cancer. He was 79 years old. Born on July 23, 1942 in Albany, son of the late Charles J. and Margaret (Finn) Werschler. He was the devoted and loving husband of the late Joan A. Werschler. Paul served in the in the Navy from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1964. Following his service Paul worked as a truck driver for Dorans in Albany. Together with his wife, he owned and operated JP Trains and Hobbies in Latham. Paul was a longtime member of the Albany Yacht Club. Survivors include one step-son, Alfred (Chuck) Tiley of Loudonville; one step-daughter, Sharon D. Tiley of East Greenbush. He is also survived by his step-mother Ruth Werschler (Colonie), brother, Allan Werschler (Rancho Cucamonga, CA), Sister Kellie Kilgore (Carlos) (Sacramento, CA); grandchildren, Steven (Jeanelle) Tiley, East Greenbush, Dan (Becky) Tiley, Moorseville, NC and Jaimee (Jon) Kusche, Loudonville; five great grandchildren, Noah and Kamryn Tiley, Ava Tiley, Elin and Lyla Kusche along with several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Denise Farinacci. Pauls family would like to extend their appreciation to all of the home health care assistants that took wonderful care of him at home during his illness. Theyd also like to show their gratitude to Pauls loyal friends who kept his hobby shop running during his long illness.
