Obituary

Stillwater, Saratoga County Patrick Shawn Dooley passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at his home with his family at his side following a brief illness. He was 35. Born on July 17, 1984 in Niskayuna, son of Michael William and Christine Jan (Kozak) Dooley. He is the proud father of his beloved daughter Irelynn Rose Dooley. Pat worked in construction and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Active in sports, he played for Stillwater Battle Football and the Stillwater Warriors. He was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants. Above all he loved his daughter and his family and friends. He will be sorely missed. Survivors in addition to his parents Michael and Christine Dooley of Longs, SC and his daughter Irelynn include his siblings, Erica Dooley (Buddy) of Stillwater, Michael Dooley, Jr. of Menands, Shannon (Scott) Mackenzie of Mechanicville and Jason (Stephanie) Russell of Waterford. He is also survived by a dear friend Stacy Collins and eight nieces and nephews. Pats family would like to thank the staff of the Saratoga County Community Hospice for their care for Pat and his family during this difficult time. Relatives and friends may call from 5-7:00pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00pm in the funeral home with Fr. Dave Haig of St. Lukes Episcopal Church officiating.
