Mechanicville, Saratoga County Patricia A. Russom of South Second Avenue passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Albany Medical Center. She was 89. Born in Stillwater on September 22, 1928, daughter of the late Edward J. and Stephanie (Wasilus) Hinchey. Patricia worked as a silicone operator at GE Silicones in Waterford from where she retired. Her family and friends knew her to be a talented seamstress, she enjoyed antiquing and going to estate sales. She was a talented gardener and in earlier years she liked to camp and go canoeing. A cat lover, she delighted in caring for her feline companions. Survivors include her children, Stephanie Green (Carmen Puglisi) of Mechanicville, Michael (Shannon) Russom of Huntington, VT and Stephen Russom (Bridgette Shellard) of Clifton Park, her sister, Kathryn Powers (Tom Powers) of Mechanicville, a sister in law, Shirley Hinchey of PA, her beloved grandchildren, Shawna Green, James Green, Zane Russom, Brynne Russom and Gabriel Russom, five great grandchildren as well as her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her siblings, Edward (Pauline) Hinchey, Donald (Lorraine) Hinchey, Jack Hinchey and Stephanie (Arthur) Hebert. Relatives and friends may call from 6-8:00pm on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A prayer service will be conducted at 8:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of her family.
