Norine A. Murphy passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Baptist Healthcare Center in Scotia. She was 89. Born in Mechanicville on January 22, 1929, daughter of the late Christopher and Julia (Kelly) Casey. She is the wife of the late Thomas F. Murphy. A graduate of Mechanicville High School, she also worked as a business clerk for the Mechanicville City Schools as well as raising her family. She was active in the Court St. Paul, #71, Catholic Daughters of the Americas for over 50 years and also a long time member of the Doll Ladies, sewing and donating dolls for around the holidays. Survivors include her children, Ellen (George) Froehlich of Loudonville, Cathleen (David) Guilder of Clifton Park, Karen Finigan of Clifton Park, Patti (Tom) Kotowski of Mechanicville and Thomas J. (Tracy) Murphy of Lake Ariel, PA, her grandchildren Sarah, Jeffrey, Lindsey, Kelli, Casey, Megan, Craig, Nicole, Matthew and Erynn. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sisters Marcella Lang, Mary Desmond and Patricia Krauss. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:00am on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at All Saints on the Hudson, South Church, 121 North Main Street, Mechanicville.
