Michael F. Sweeney passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Fulton Rehab Center in Gloversville, NY. He was 62 years old.

Born in 1963, Mike was the son of Sharon L. Sweeney and the late Francis J. Sweeney. Following graduation from high school, Mike moved to California to "live the dream" but eventually moved back and settled in West Winfield, NY.

Mike was employed as a welder for several years with Northeast Fire Protection Services. He was a supervisor for Fire Control Systems, Operation Manager for Sterile Technologies and Biomedical Field Technician for International Shared Services before becoming disabled with MS.

He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed hunting and trapping wild animals as well as ice fishing. He even owned and ran his own bait and tackle shop near his home.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon L. Sweeney and his three sisters Michele (Tony) Saunders, Christine Sweeney and Sandra (Bob) Manny. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's name to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter in Ballston Spa, NY.
