Michael J. Marino, formerly of Valley Falls, passed away on July 4, 2012 at the Teresian House in Albany. He was 85. Born in Brooklyn on March 27, 1927, son of the late Michael J. and Anna (LeSerra) Marino. Mr. Marino is a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed as a salesman and estimator for the Oviatte Plumbing and Heating Company of Troy. He was a parishoner of the former St. John's Church. Survivors include his son, George Marino of Valley falls and his sister, Lorraine Carifa of New Britan, CT., also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his grandchildren Amber, Christopher, Joshua and Emily. In addition to his parents, Michael is reunited with his beloved wife, Janine (Drevign), their daughter, Michelle Weatherwax, his siblings, Thomas and Gerard Marino, Rose Gambirdine, Geraldine Harmm, Adele Vilece and Mildred Butera. Relatives and friends may call from 4-6pm on Sunday, July 8 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke (753-4511). Funeral Mass will be conducted on Monday at 9:30am at Transfiguration Parish, Route 40, Schaghticoke. Burial will be in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
