Schuylerville, Saratoga County Michael Edward Mike Caswell passed away on August 29, 2015 at the Saratoga Hospital with his beloved family at his side. He was 55. Born in Troy on February 17, 1960, son of the late Stanley and Phyllis (McGeoch) Caswell. He is the husband of Susan Mitchell whom he married on September 1, 1990. Mike was a graduate of the Stillwater Central School System, class of 1979 where he enjoyed his passion for football. He worked most recently for Saratoga County. He loved making people laugh and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors in addition to his wife Susan L. Caswell of Schuylerville include children Cliff Mitchell of Schuylerville, Timothy Caswell of Alabama, Ashley (Justin) Scott of Westerlo, Cheyenne (Jeremy) Metcalfe of Schuylerville and Drew Caswell of Westerlo and a grandchild Lawson Metcalfe. His siblings Robert (Nancy) Caswell of Stillwater, Paul (Linda) Caswell of Lancaster, SC, William (Meg) Caswell of Malta and Sandra (John) Reilly of Stillwater. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue. Funeral service will be conducted at 10am on Thursday at the Stillwater United Church, 747 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Burial will be in the family plot in Stillwater Union Cemetery.
