Mechanicville, Saratoga County MaryAnn DiNardo of Mechanicville passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy on December 31, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (DiVirgilio) DiNardo. After graduating from Mechanicville High School, MaryAnn began her long career working for NYS Taxation and Finance. After retiring, she worked part time at Bella Napoli in Latham. MaryAnn dedicated her life to her family. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had a special bond and unique relationship with each and every one of them. They will always treasure the time they had with her. She was with everyone of them throughout their lives celebrating the good times and always being there to encourage and lend a listening ear while giving her invaluable advice when needed. MaryAnn also loved baking cakes, which were works of art, and cookies for family occasions and friends. She loved her music and knew the songs and artists "like the back of her hand". She showed all of us hope, determination and a Whole Lotta Love. Besides her parents, MaryAnn was predeceased by her brother Eugene and nephew Dean Holmes. Survivors include her two sisters, RoseMarie Holmes (Edward Farrington) of Watervliet and Philly Gilchrist of Watervliet, her brother Albert (Lisa) DiNardo of Stillwater. Several nieces and nephews, Donald Holmes (Sona), Douglas Holmes (Cassandra), Jacob Gilchrist, Bryant Gilchrist (Sam) Geena DiNardo (Danny), Nicholas DiNardo (Morgan), Dominick Holmes, Noah Nelson and Millie Dean Holmes. She is also survived by her loving pet, Benny. The family would like to thank NYOH Dr. Lisinschi, Andrea, Hospice (Nurse Julie and Rosalie, her aide) all for their wonderful care and compassion. Services for MaryAnn will be private with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at All Saints on the Hudson Church, Stillwater and entombment in St. Pauls Cemetery, Mechanicville.
