Mary A. Vosburgh of Rt. 67 passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81. Born on September 21, 1929 in Albany, she was a daughter of the late William and May (Nerney) Gentry. Mary was a parishioner at the Transfiguration Parish and enjoyed attending and seeing her friends at the Eddy Day Break Program in Troy. She will be remembered for her love of life, being with her family and her loving, sometimes feisty attitude. Mary leaves behind her daughters, Linda Bassett of Valley Falls and Tina Vosburgh of Naples, FL, her beloved sister in law Eileen Vosburgh, her beloved grandchildren, Chad and wife Michele Bassett of Valley Falls, Stacy and husband Walker Ellwanger of West Point, VA, Shannon and wife Rene Vosburgh, Cory Vosburgh and Travis Vosburgh all of Marco Island, FL, and her great grandchildren, C.J. Bassett of Valley Falls, Aiden and Eli Ellwanger of West Point, VA and Castor, Alaka, Leanna and Chevra Vosburgh all of Marco Island, FL as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and her guardian angel, Joann Lockrow. Also, her beloved pets, Dillion, Reese, Dunkin and Oreo and the late Copper, Sierra, Onyx, Puff and Nikki. She in addition to her parents Mary is predeceased by her husband Robert H. Vosburgh, Sr., her son, Robert H. Vosburgh, Jr. and her son-in-law Paul Bassett. Relatives and friends may call from 12-2pm on Sunday, May 1, at the Chase Funeral Home, 173 Main Street Schaghticoke. Services will be conducted at 2pm following visitation.
