Mary Pratt passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at home with loved ones. She was 83 years old, born on February 21, 1943 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. Mary was the daughter of Robert and Bertha Twarowski. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Pratt who she married on December 19, 1970.

During their marriage, Mary and Bob enjoyed traveling and went on many adventures before settling down with their biggest adventure, farming. Mary and Bob owned and operated Elihu Farms in Easton, NY. Over their decades of operation they earned numerous achievements, especially with their passion for wool and fiber.

Mary was one of the founders of the Washington County Fiber Tour and a lifelong advocate for helping the public understand sheep and wool. She was especially gracious to farm visitors, including children who were thinking of getting started with raising sheep. She was meticulous about the quality of the wool she sold. The annual Fiber Tour has continued for thirty-five years and Mary and Bob were part of the trail for nearly all of those years, together they welcomed thousands of visitors to their farm. Services for Mary will be private and at the convenience of loved ones.
