Valley Falls, Rensselaer County Martha L. Film of State Street, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Eddy Memorial Center in Troy. She was 89. Born on February 21, 1924 in Center Brunswick, she is the daughter of the late Walter R. and Olive (St. John) Film, twin sister of the late Mary Elizabeth Film. She is a member of the Latham Bible Baptist Church, a devout Christian, she loved her church and her Lord. Survivors include her siblings, Caroline Edwards of Valley Falls and Frances Fellner of New Windsor, her nephew John (Michele) Edwards of Cohoes and her extended families, the Czub, Lego, Hamilton and Film Families as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and sister, she is predeceased by her brother Walter "Teddy" Film. A memorial service will be conducted at 1pm on July 26, 2013 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes,173 Main Street, Schaghticoke, with Pastor Dean Walter, officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 12-1pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke. The family would like to thank the staff at the Eddy, (Frear Wing) for the special care they provided for Martha. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to her church.
