Martha "Marty" Cattell-Sears of Oak Avenue in Malta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on June 4th, 2023. She was 72 years old. Born on April 8, 1951, in Troy NY to the late Ernest E. and Beatrice (Martineau) Ford, Jr. Wife of Edward F. Sears, III whom she married on September 20, 2004. Marty was very proud of being a Nurse and worked throughout various nursing homes in New York. Survivors in addition to her loving husband Ed, her beloved daughter, Lucinda (Cindy) Cattell Dawson of Malta. Her step children; Alana Mount, James Sears, Julia Sears, Sarah Sears and Christopher Sears. 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her sisters; Lucy Saddlemire, Pat Connoly and Donna Orourke. Mother-in-law, Barbara Sears, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donna and Larry Pensabene. She also leaves behind many family and friends, too numerous to mention but please know, she loved you all. In addition to her parents, Marty is predeceased by her sister Lydia Benson, her step-son, Edward F. Sears and her infant child Kathleen Kim Cattell.
