Mark Herrington of Lower Herrington Road passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at his daughter's home, surrounded by loving family. He was 74.

Born on June 3, 1951 in Troy, son of the late Glenn and Joan (Wein) Herrington.

Mark was a graduate of Hoosic Valley School, class of 1969. He went on to obtain an Associate degree in Forestry from Paul Smith College. He worked running the looms as a felt maker at Albany International and most recently worked on the road crew for the New York State Department of Transportation. He loved traveling to various National Parks and was an avid photographer. He loved photographing nature, especially Bald Eagles.

Mark is survived by his brother John (Darlene) Herrington, his beloved children Jacob (Elizabeth) Herrington and Jessica Herrington. His grandchildren Austin, Hayden, Hannah, Caleb and Chase, his life companion of 25 years Anne Bailey, his nieces and nephew Nicolle, Allie, Kelly, Jennifer and Ethan.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Keith Herrington and Kim Herrington.

Visiting will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1-3:00pm at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm in the funeral home.
