Marjorie Ann Foster of River Road passed away at home on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. She was 81.
Born in Troy on October 31st, 1942, the daughter of Vernon and Edna (Fort) Baucus, she enjoyed sharing her birthday with Halloween. She was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Eugene Vito Foster, who passed in 2022; they were joyfully married for 62 years.
Marjorie worked for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany, retiring after 37 years, and was a member of the Schaghticoke United Presbyterian Church. She was known to appreciate a good sale on shoes, and spent many years enjoying the Adirondacks.
She is predeceased by her sister, Louise Paulo (Randy - Johnsonville), brother in law Robert Foster (Sandy - East Greenbush), and sister in law Donna Brock (Charlie - Babcock Lake). Survivors include brothers/sisters-in-law Donald and Cheri Foster (Schaghticoke), Linda and Walter Vogt (Schaghticoke), her nieces Mary Ann Carangelo, Brenda Taber, Nikki Daigel, her great nephews Richard L. Hynes, Connor Carangelo and Caden Carangelo, and other beloved nieces, nephews, and family members.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday the 18th at 10 AM at the Schaghticoke United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery with her husband Gene at a later date.
