Ballston Lake, Saratoga County Marjorie A. Aldrich passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home on Hubbs Road. She was 83. Born in Mechanicville on April 20, 1937, daughter of Robert and Sophie (Raymond) Murray. She is the wife of John S. Aldrich whom she married on February 1, 1984. Marjorie had worked for Tagson Paper Company and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. She enjoyed traveling to new places and visiting National Parks, cruises, her flower gardens and her pets. In earlier years she enjoyed bowling and horses. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband John include her sons, Michael Starks and Joseph (Rebecca) Starks, her siblings, Martha Jean Myers and Beverly Bussiere, her grandchildren, Bobbie-Jo Marchione, Joseph Starks, Joshua Starks, Nicholas Iavarone, Ryan Starks, Carissa Starks, Sherry Starks, Samuel Starks and Kane Starks as well as her five great grandchildren, Ava, Liam, Joe, Lucille and Ronan. She is predeceased by her son, Robert Starks, her daughter Susan (late Nicholas) Iavarone and her siblings Natalie Minick, Robert Murray and Barbara Thompson. Calling hours will be from 2-4:00pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00pm in the funeral home. Due to current pandemic mandates, social distancing will be observed and face covering will be required by all that attend.
