Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, Jones Marilyn M. Jones formerly of East Street, Schaghticoke, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Van Rensselaer Manor following a long illness. She was 84. Born in Mechanicville on April 18, 1933 to the late Francis G. and Mabel C. (Eggelston) Aldrich. She was the wife of the late Frederick J. Jones who passed away in 2003. Marilyn was a machine operator for the Ballston-Stillwater Knitting Mills. She was a member of the Presbyterian United Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Church Session and spent time as an avid bowler. Survivors include her two children, Sidney (Shelley) Jones of Schaghticoke and Cathy Campbell of Schaghticoke. Her sister Mabel Seymour of Schaghticoke. Five grandchildren, Carrie Serritella (Chuck Dunham), Jessica (Michael) Zupan, Frederick Campbell, Christopher Campbell and the late Amanda Campbell. 4 great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Mackenzie Serritella, Evan and Brayden Zupan as well as her sister-in-law Edye Aldrich, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and grand-daughter, Marilyn was predeceased by her three brothers, Francis, Irving and Seth Aldrich and her son-in-law Doug Campbell. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 am to 11:15 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Presbyterian United Church, 165 Main Street in Schaghticoke. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorials in Marilyn's honor may be made to the Presbyterian United Church or the Van Rensselaer Manor.
