Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County Louise "Weezie" M. Mirra passed away peacefully at her daughters home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was 73. Born on September 3, 1948 in Placentia, Newfoundland, daughter of the late Gus and Jean (Ross) Greene. She is the wife of the late Joseph Mirra who passed away in 1998. Louise worked for the Stillwater School System as a school bus driver, retiring after a career of over 31 years. She worked in the Schaghticoke Fair information booth for approximately 25 years and was active with the American Legion Post 731 Ladies Auxiliary, Schaghticoke. Survivors include her children, Dawn (Steve) Felter of Stephentown, Joseph (Cindy) Mirra of Greenwich and Shannon (Mark) Fusco of Schaghticoke, her siblings, Diane (John) Sevco of California, Cathy (Kevin) Sieben of Colorado, Linda (Joe) Bohlke and Angie (Phillip) Dohey of Newfoundland. Also her adoring grandchildren, Jonathan and Matthew Fusco, Nicholas and Brandon Napoli and Kaylia Mirra as well as four great grandchildren, life long friends Kathy & Pete Bonnier who were always there for her and Joe and her special friend and care companion Melissa Gugliemoni of Schaghticoke. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sister Barbara Agate. Visiting will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 8:30-10:00am at Transfiguration Parish, 17 South Main Street Schaghticoke. Funeral mass will be conducted in the church at 10:00am with burial to follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
