Schaghticoke, Rensselaer Co. Hanby, Linda L. Linda L. (Buck) Hanby of County Route 67, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 4, 2012 with her loving family by her side. She was 65. Born on March 16, 1947 in Utica, she is a daughter of Louis and Agnes (Robinson) Buck. Mrs. Hanby worked in customer service for Matthew Bender/LexisNexis in Albany for 32 years. Linda was a devoted wife and mother, enjoying time spent with family. She especially liked camping in the Adirondacks, as well as hiking, biking and just being outside. In her retirement, she was always working on a crocheting or knitting project for her family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Frank Joseph Hanby whom she married on August 26, 1965, their sons, Thomas Edward (Anita) Hanby of Johnsonville and Brad Joseph (Jean) Hanby of Schaghticoke, her sisters, Jane (Jim) Hayes of Watervliet and Christine Bove of Troy, also, her grandchildren, Stephen Edward Hanby and Nicholas Vriniotis as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hanbys family would like to thank the staff and doctors at New York Oncology Hematology, especially Dr. Charles Weissman and his staff, and to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County for their care for Linda.
