Kristin Mary (Adamakis) Crable

Kristin Mary (Adamakis ) Crable, of River Road, Niskayuna, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital with her loving husband and family by her side. She was 58.
Born on November 21, 1953 in Cohoes, she was a daughter of the late Leonidas George and Helene Josette (Montez) Adamakis. She is the wife of James Crable, whom she married on July 29, 1973 at St. Basil's Church, Troy.
A caregiver by nature, she was passionate about caring for the children at Pathways in Niskayuna. Her family was the only thing that came first. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
Kris was a graduate of Cohoes High School and went on to graduate from Hudson Valley Community College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for several years at the Eddy in Cohoes, and recently as a pediatric nurse at Pathways in Niskayuna.
In addition to her husband, Jim she is survived by her son, James Ross Crable and daughter Karrah Crable both of Cohoes. Her sister, Kathy (Michael) Wheeler of Latham, her brother, George (Angela) Adamakis, New Bern, NC, her grandchildren, Kayla, Chloe, Ryan, Nevaeh and James, her nieces and nephews, Melyssa (Andy), Kaitlyn, Andrew, Amanda, Kathy and Scott, her sister-in-law Lynn (Nicholas) Santoro, also, her mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Crable. Also survived by several cousins and her best friend Debbie (Hare) Radliff.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Vigil service will be conducted at 6pm with Rev. Nicholas TeBordo officiating. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 9 at the United Church of Cohoes, Mohawk Street. Burial will follow in Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville.
