Kevin Sally, Clifton Park, Saratoga County Kevin Sally, 51, formerly of Clifton Park, died in the gentle hands of Mountain Valley Hospice and surrounded by family in Gloversville, on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Kevin went to be with God after a long struggle with the orphan disease, Superficial Siderosis. Kevin was born in Troy, on July 13, 1964, the son of the late Stephen W. and Margaret M. Sally. Kevin grew up in Mechanicville. He attended Assumption / St. Paul Elementary and was a graduate of Mechanicville High School and HVCC. He was a valued and respected employee of General Electric, Waterford Plant. He was an active member of the Mechanicville Fire Department for many years. Kevin was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially devoted to the NY Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and Boston Bruins. His interests also included college sports. He rooted for the NC Tarheels in basketball and the USC Trojans in football. He enjoyed golf and softball as well as other sports interests. He ran in road races, particularly in his favorite the Mechanicville Firecracker Run. He traveled to places of interest to him. He brought our mother on a trip to Ireland and Hawaii. He had the good fortune to see his Cowboys defeat the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl in Pasadena, CA and play in Texas Stadium as well as the Boston Bruins in Boston, MA. He visited his brother, Steve, in Florida on vacation as well. He was a gentle, kind soul who felt for other people and his family. He could always be counted on for help and support in any situation. Family and friends were very important to him. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his older brother Joseph W. Sally. Survivors include his brother, Stephen R. (Carol) Sally, his sisters Christine A. Sally and Patricia (Marty) Below, his brother Kenneth M. Sally, his nieces Stephanie L. Below, Carrie A. Below and his nephew Martin Thomas Below. His nieces and nephews became the world to him. Kevins family would like to thank Albany Medical Center, Nathan Littauer Hospital and Fulton Center for Rehab and Health Care for all their attentive care and for his medical needs. They would also like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for their special attention to Kevins comfort care and their support of his family during his time with them. A memorial service will follow at 7pm in the funeral home.
