Kathleen Ann Waldron (Kohls), 74, of Mechanicville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1948, in Ticonderoga, NY, daughter of the late Luther and Elizabeth (Bowers) Waldron. Kathie grew up in nearby North Creek and Valley Falls with her parents and six siblings. She greatly enjoyed crafting over the years, and often took pride in making beautiful gifts for her friends and family members. Kathie was a loving mother and grandmother (Nana) who enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially cherished visits with her grandchildren. Kathie is survived by her children, Kelly (Jon) Ladd of North Creek, Rodney (Beth) Wilson of Marcy, Ronda Wilson of Bennington, VT, and Eric (Meghan) Kohls of Ballston Lake; her beloved grandchildren, Adam Wilson, Luke and Aidan Wilson, Erica and Mason Kohls, and Tony and Steven Ladd; her brothers and sisters, Connie DeShaw, Robert (Lisa) Waldron, Luther "Chuck" (Sherry) Waldron, Debbie (Christopher) Attey, Frank (Patricia) Waldron, and Millie Waldron; several nieces and nephews and a cherished friend Linda Gould. She was predeceased by her parents, Luther and Elizabeth Waldron and her brother-in-law Wayne DeShaw. Her family would like to thank Hospice for the care and compassion given to her, especially her nurses Anna, Stephanie, and Monica, and her social worker Colleen. A special thank you goes out to her loving daughter Ronda who spent countless hours devoting herself to her mothers care. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke, NY 12154. Calling hours will be from 10am-12 noon on Saturday, May 6, 2023. A service will follow in the funeral home at 12 noon. Private interment and burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
